Outgoing Mail Pattern
This is a 2-in-1 instructional pattern to make two projects. The first is a cardboard Mailbox with working mail chute and access door from a corrugated cardboard box and additional scrap cardboard. The second is a reversible fabric Mailbag. The Mailbag project is suitable for most skill levels, including beginning seamstresses with some familiarity with operating a sewing machine. The finished Mailbag measures 9.5" x 8" x 2" and has a 30" strap. It is suitable for use by a 3 - 5 year old child but a conversion table is included in the pattern to make the bag in a smaller and larger size. The size of the box used will determine the dimensions of the finished Mailbox.
The pattern contains 47 pages,including one cover page, one page of templates for the Mailbag project and 45 pages of text instructions accompanied by full-color annotated photographs. To accommodate different sizes of boxes that can be used to make the Mailbox, fixed-size templates are not included. Instead, detailed step-by-step instructions are provided to guide you through creating your own templates that fit the unique dimensions of your cardboard box.
